House Hunting

Here we go again with house hunting. The space we are in now has been put on the market by the owner, so Mr M. and I must relocate. We were hoping to stay in this beautiful, 4-bedroom home, surrounded by bushland, until such time as he built his own. Ideals are sometimes tested though and this is one of those times.

To be honest, while I suck at organisation and cleaning, I never really grew out of 'playing house'. The epic collection of Sylvanian Families still hides away somewhere at mum's place. The animals had farm animals, rearranged the furniture a lot, reproduced and adopted children, and I even stacked stools to build a sky (ceiling?) scraper. They also used to bully my Barbie (which is probably not the best thing to admit on a public forum, but I digress).

Last year I was introduced to Pinterest where I rediscovered my love for creating and creativity. Hence starting the dabble in re-purposing and garage-sale hopping, much to Mr M's dismay at the accumulated junk. With my dad's departure I inherited his garden, which I did far more with than the property I reside on anyway, meant taking a much more hands-on approach of learning permiculture. To wrap up year 2011, I did a 7 day fast and I'm now in the process of reprogramming my body to appreciate fresher, and more variety of foods that are in the service of nurturing.

That pretty much covers where I came from.

At night I kick ass at the taekwondo club I've been with for 10+ years. Some people call it dedication, I like referring it to addiction. Because the club is my extended family.
